Out Beyond
There is a garden. I'll meet you there.
Out beyond walls of logic and stone,
there is a garden. I’ll meet you there.
To this place without sinew and bone,
without rank and resource, come
bringing body and memory
without pause, without falter.
It is a place without rush, without noise,
only the singing of wind
in the leaves of the rowan tree,
a circle of free women, free men
human
and hand to hand, knowing
that we cannot see
what is behind us.
But in this place, face to face
and hand to hand, we can see
the missing direction.
Here we stand, in a dance
that is ever moving, fluid and equal
in power, in belonging.
In this place, we move
to the same song.
